Personal Reflection (NEwater visit)

1)I have learnt that water is treated through multiple processes to ensure it is safe for consumption. I have also learnt that new sources of water are essential to ensure Singapore has enough water for consumption as the sources we currently have cannot be expected to last forever. Also, people put in a lot of effort into making water for us. We should not waste it.

2)I learnt about the reverse osmosis process and the ultraviolet light to filter and kill bacteria. I also learnt about how is the heat from the ultraviolet light is countered and reduced.

3)I have learnt that the holes in the filters are actually very small.

4)I can help conserve water by taking shorter showers and using leftover water from my water bottle to water plants.
